St Agnes is a magnificent country estate set on six picturesque acres, surrounded by graceful vineyards and heritage gardens. Located in the Macedon Ranges just footsteps from Kyneton (and only one hour from Melbourne), the 1800s property has been restored to its original charm and offers an ideal private setting for a traditional country wedding, complete with luxurious onsite accommodation.
With a variety of breathtaking spaces to move between, from ceremony and aperitifs, through to portrait hour, wedding reception (and perhaps an after-party in the stables!), the property can accommodate intimate celebrations of 40 people right up to magnificent marquee soiree’s of 200 guests.

WEDDING CEREMONY
With an entire private estate at your disposal there are countless stunning options for ceremony spaces. Whether you opt to exchange vows beneath a canopy of ancient trees, the cobbled courtyard of the Coach House or an alfresco ceremony with the homestead as a backdrop, we will create a memorable setting and be waiting to greet your guests with aperitifs and roaming canapés as soon as you’ve walked down the aisle.
WEDDING RECEPTION
Depending on guest numbers, your wedding reception can be celebrated either by the Stables, beneath a beautiful marquee in the gardens or alfresco style, dining down a single, magnificent table beneath the tress.
With the option for a classic sailcloth marquee, Moroccan tents or garden-party style beneath scalloped umbrellas, we will create a breathtaking event that is uniquely yours.
All planning and event management, including on-the-day coordination is included at St. Agnes. This means we also take care of everything you would normally need to externally hire at a private venue – including your marquee, lighting, all reception furniture hire and styling elements - with the option to customise choices to suit your unique taste.
FOOD & DRINK
From roaming canapés following your ceremony and aperitifs on the lawn, right through to your reception (either cocktail style or seated), every element is thoughtfully considered and taken care of.
Together we will create a tailored menu and drinks package featuring all your favourite flavours and wine varietals.

ST. AGNES EVENT SPACES
From wedding ceremony and spritz’s through to your chosen reception space and dance floor - together we will plan the
unique flow of your event, moving from space to space throughout the grounds.
Our cobbled stables, sweeping lawns and a perfectly level marquee area beneath the willows are all ideal for an outdoor event.
For more intimate soirees (from 20-50 guests - dependant on seated or cocktail style) there are several indoor possibilities also, within the storied walls of The Stables - the Formal Dining room, the Drawing Room and the Cellar.

THE STABLES
Completing the St. Agnes property in the 1870s, the regal proportions of the two-story brick stables and cobbled courtyard leave a lasting impression.
As a welcome aperitif bar area for guests on arrival, a graceful ceremony backdrop or the setting for your alfresco reception (either seated or cocktail) the possibilities for this area are many.
Situated in a gently elevated position with views of the property, but tucked behind its own private wall, The Stables offer a beautiful place to begin or end your evening.
THE HOMESTEAD COURTYARD
This breathtaking wing of the homestead with its original windows, lace fretwork, slate roof and lavender fringed courtyard offer a truly special space.
A pair of stately urns frame the doorway and anchor the centre of your ceremony for a unique & photogenic backdrop.
As an aperitivo area, the gravel courtyard and views towards the vineyard lend an air of relaxed opulence, for ultimate garden party vibes.
THE LAWNS
With the graceful stretch of homestead on one side, vineyards on the other and encircled by hundred-year-old elms, the sweeping lawns of St. Agnes sit at the heart of the gardens with a beautiful outlook in all directions.
Styled with chic cocktail furniture, a beautifully styled bar and roaming canapes, the relaxed elegance of this space is the perfect setting for your guests to while away the afternoon, as you enjoying a relaxed portrait session around the grounds.
THE VARIEGATED ELMS
Surrounding the lawn and just across from the vineyards sits our copse of beautifully established elms, framing the homestead through graceful branches.
A beautiful location for a naturally shaded ceremony space or a unique backdrop for an infinity alfresco dining table.
THE WILLOWS
These gracious trees offer gorgeously dappled light and a serene presence, watching quietly over a garden ceremony.
Situated in the heart of the St. Agnes gardens you have views of the estate in all directions and are a stones throw to aperitifs to follow – either on the adjacent lawn or up at the stables for a delightful change of scenery.
THE MARQUEE GARDEN
Tucked behind our established trees sits our private marquee area. Once a stately tennis court, this specially prepared ground ensures a perfectly level dancefloor and a blessedly dry environment underfoot, regardless of seasonal rain.
Making your way through the oak and willow trees past the duck pond, the marquee emerges framed by branches, sitting proudly amidst the St. Agnes acreage.

THE APARTMENT
This gracefully proportioned wing has everything you need for a private, self-contained stay, tucked within the majestic grounds.
Through a sun-drenched courtyard from where you can
enjoy morning coffee with views over the estate, the apartment leads you through a light filled kitchen complete with a cosy breakfast table.
A generous King bedroom appointed with luxurious linens leads up to a dressing room area and tranquil marble bathroom with original stained-glass windows.
A separate snug off the bedroom is fitted with lounge seating, books and a discreet television over the fireplace, perfect for cosy evenings or slow mornings.
THE RETREAT
A private oasis, The Retreat sits handsomely, adjacent but slightly separate to, the main homestead.
Entered through a stately verandah, the retreat welcomes you into a beautifully appointed space with relaxation top of mind.
The King sized bedroom features an integrated sitting room, complete with cosy lounges and a discreet television. The generous ensuite boasts a full sized marble shower, freestanding bath and views over the St. Agnes vineyard.
THE LOFT
The entire upper floor of St. Agnes’s brick stables have been luxuriously transformed into a stately Wedding Suite spilling across multiple adjoining spaces.
With sweeping regional views out windows on both sides, and a balconette looking out over the celebratory happenings below,
it offers the perfect secluded sanctuary in which to prepare
- and later retreat to - at nights end.
With a beautifully appointed King bedroom occupying the entire left wing - and a kitchen, marble bathroom and spacious lounge room spread over the right wing, there is ample space for weekend long relaxation, as well as Wedding Party preparations.
With a sweeping stair entry, star-raked ceilings, original balconette and breathtaking views over the grounds, the St. Agnes Wedding Suite is a photographer’s dream.
